Bhagya de Silva: yes this is to do with the process of entering field results for samples. For some sites we have field sheets that are physical sheets that are filled out by our samplers in the field and order/structured in a certain way. Being able to order the way field sampling data is entered for example pH first would be beneficial.

Jemma Gooley: ok thanks. Is this sorting order consistent across samples using the same monitoring program ? or is there a different pattern to the consistency of the order ?

I'm asking this assuming that the samplers won't have time to sort the parameters when they create the sample so they would want the parameters sorted in a pre-defined order.

Yes we would want the ability to set the predefined order not something you would want to sort on the go. Nothing too complicated very similar to the functionality that was available in InViron.
